Whose cow is it!!!

What does one say when a foreigner asks you this question about a lone cow on one of the roads in the national capital?

I had no answer. Neither to the following -

Does the cow have a home?
When does she go back home?
Why isn' the owner looking for her?
Why are so many people on the road?
Why are they talking on the road? Can't they go home and talk?

Stray cows on the streets of India rarely have homes they go back to. Mostly, they're abandoned cows.

However, sometimes, people with farms near cities often let them loose in parts of the city, where they eat garbage and are then rounded up in the evening by the owners. You can often tell by telltale marks (skewered signs on their sides). These are the lucky ones.

The owner, if they can't feed them, let them loose on streets.

So many people on the road: It's a country of a billion people. Get over it! :o)

People all over the world talk on roads. Just look around, and travel! Try Finland especially, the land of Nokia.
